Best 32'' HDTV DirectView TV?

Hi, I'd like to know the best buy on a 32 inches hdtv ready television on the market for a maximum price of 2500$ Canadian (It's the price of the Sony kv32hs500).
I checked out Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba and they all have a 32 inches model that compete at equal level with the Sony kv32hs500 virtually the same price. I'd buy a the Sony but I heard that the the normal tv picture looks like crap because of the DRC Modulator or something like that. It'll be use mostly for my Panasonic RP-82 progressive player and for non HDTV viewing.
