Can anyone give me some advice?Being an old guy, with old stereo equipment, I just replaced my cd player with a dvd player (it's a low end Samsung). The audio cd sound through my also aging B&O receiver and Allison Six speakers is fine. When I play a dvd through the same system and route the sound the same way, the movie soundtrack volume is extremely low. I have to increase volume to almost the maximum setting to get a decent listening level (then I get a hum also). This seems to happen on all movies and it happens no matter how I set up the dvd player's sound. Is this a result of funnelling the enhanced movie soundtrack into only two channels?
Thanks.
