I just recently updated my 1994 vintage Denon AVR-2500 with an AVR-1082 (aka AVR-3802) and am unable to get a VCR video signal to pass through to the TV via the monitor out connection using the receiver's video I/O connections. I currently have a Samsung combo DVD/VCR unit and have the DVD connected to the receiver via S-Video and Optical (DVD only side of the unit). Everything works fine with this device. The VCR (using connections on DVD/VCR side of unit and the VCR OUT line) is connected to receiver VCR-1 IN via a composite cable (yellow, red, white). This produces the correct audio but no video. Just to be sure the VCR wasn't bad I hooked up another VCR and got the same results. As an additional test I hooked up my old receiver the same way and it did not work either. What am I missing here?Stumped in Chicago.
