Pioneer 525 DVD player

Hi all,
I have a Pioneer 525 DVD player that is acting real funny lately. Everytime i open up the dvd tray/drawer it close automatically right after it opens. I have instances where the tray/drawer closes up to three times before if opens and remains open to load the dvd/cd into the tray/drawer. Have anybody with a Pioneer 525 DVD player had this problem ? Any suggestions as to what could be the cause of it ? I should point out this DVD player was modified by Dan Wright of MODWRIGHT over two yrs ago but i didn't have this problem until recently. Am i ready for a new player ? If so what could replace this player ? Sorry for all the questions.
