Tv sound can be heard on AV1/2

I wonder if anyone can help. I have just connected up my new dvd player to my tv. Previously i used my PS2 to play DVDs (has RGB, is surprisingly good) The picture is fine, but if you pause the DVD or in a quiet passage the the TV can be heard faintly - but audibly (this does not happen with the PS2). They are conected by RGB Scart (Im in UK). If you remove the TV aerial connector from the TV you no longer hear the TV but still hear the RF hash. Anyone got any ideas as to what exactly is happening. I thought if the DVD player itself was poorly shielded, it might be picking up the signal, but removing the TV aerial from the TV removes the TV signal but not presence of a signal (hash). So Im confused.
