Pioneer DVD recorders. Any good?

I was really happy to see Pioneer release a nice selection of DVD recorders onto the market, and seeing as I already have all Pioneer equipment, one of these would slip in nicely. One problem though. I haven't read a good review for any of them (except the DVD-220, which I haven't seen reviewed). All the reviews talk about below average recording quality, largely due to it's internal analogue tuner being poor quality. (I'm in the UK, so really I'm after a UK perspective on these units). What are other peoples views on these recorders?
