I am looking for a high quality pre/pro and amp combo. My current system consists of a AES AE-3 with a Cary V-12 running L/R and I run a B&K 307 as a source on the AE-3 for HT processing. I am tring to simplify my system and have one multi channel amp and a excellent pre/pro. Most of my listening is Home theater, but I want the ability to have excellent 2 channel capability. I have listened to the Anthem D-1 with the P-5, and in 2 channel processed mode, it was just "OK" for music. But in 2 channel analog by-pass, It was stunning!!. It ranks up with some of the best 2 channel I have heard. The downside is the price. Both pieces are $10,000.00 (retail) which is more that I would like to spend. My thoughts were maybe the Sunfire Theater Grans IV with the Signature amp. This combo would be a little less, but I havn't heard either yet. I am open to sugesstions. Thanks
