Been there, tried that. If you want an integrated sound then be prepared to pay for a quality centre. I fought against this idea but am now convinced that to do otherwise is to ruin the sound. At times nearly all the sound comes from the centre so, particularly for speech, clarity of definition equivalent to the mains is essential. If you can get a quality centre for $315 you are doing well.John
