Advice on ~50" HDTV Ready Rear Projection Sets...?

...I'm currently looking at rear projection sets around 50" in size and want HDTV capabillity. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions on what to get...I would like to stay *close* to the $2000.00 price range. I'm currently leaning toward the 53FDX01B Hitachi, any observations on it or other similar models? I prefer a tube for the better black reproduction and contrast but find them price prohibative and unavailable in a big enough screen. Also, I like the format of the wide-screens but find them undesirable as well, since they are in reality MUCH smaller when watching a regular format TV show.
