i'm thinking of replacing my pioneer elite pd-59 w/a dvd player that does as decent job playing a cd as the pioneer has done for the past 2 years.i do not need a prograssive scan unit. i plan to take the video out of the dvd via the svhs directly to a 20" toshiba black stripe and then patch the audio into my rotel pre under cd and aux (splitter?). this way i can play a cd and if i like play a dvd thru my snell model d. any thoughts on this set-up?
bottomline: analog sound quality of the sd-6200?
is this a decent 1st dvd player?
thank u in advance for the above info.
be well
