"I Am Legend" Comparsions.

Three films made based on Richard Matheson's early 1950's novel, "I Am
Legend": 1964 entitled "Last Man On Earth" with miscast Vincent Price,
(Matheson walked off set in Rome in disgust...watch Price's pitiful, revolting crying scene, you will understand), plus mutants were hokey...
setting and B&W cinematography best features. 1971 entitled "The Omega
Man", with much better cast Charlton Heston, setting in Los Angeles,
mutants much better...best of three films. 2008, entitled "I Am Legend",
with OK Will Smith, setting in Manhattan, film's Achilles Heel is mutants
reduced to vicious animal level with no characterization. ~AH
