RE: "Forbidden Planet" Remake.

Posted by Audiohead on October 7, 2009 at 11:52:41:

From what I gather at imdb, the remake of FP will not closely adhere to
the original, but will include many new elements. Supposedly the
scripter had written a highly novel script, but it had leaked into the
internet, so he scrapped it and started anew.
To be sure there will be a lot of emphasis on action and CGI, much of
which will be spectacular, so I surmise that this remake will probably
not be as character driven as the original...the pace will most likely
be much faster than in the original.
I do not want to be disappointed as I was in the remakes of War of the
Worlds and The Day The Earth Stood Still...but I fear I may be correct
in my skepticism...hopefully not. We'll see. ~AH
