The previews made this look pretty comedic, but it was more just melodrama. Despite the unconventional family structure, the situations were pretty conventional. I really liked Mark Ruffalo in You Can Count On Me and here he is kind of the same sort of guy all grown up. And I like him, and most of the actors here, but it certainly did not touch me as did that older movie, nor make me want to spend more time with the characters.
