Took me a long time to get around to appreciating him as an actor...

and then he was a guest of Robert Osborne on TCM in the last coupla years and I realized he was
NOT only one helluva actor (though maybe not so adept at picking great vehicles to work
in), but a very cool person as well.

Seems like he had a long, rich life. RIP.
