That was the main reason Deniro wasn't in Bad Santa, his schedule was too packed doing those trite roles
he's so much beyond that he couldn't fit the Santa role in though he wanted to do it.

Apparently he has ex-wives and kids that have made selecting roles less of an artistic challenge
and more of a financial consideration. Can't really blame him, and certainly can't blame Durning for doing so either.

Durning sure could bite deep into the right part when he needed to though and
rise to the occasion. He was really outstanding in "Rescue Me".
