Ok, we switched to basic, basic cable. $13 vs. $75, at that time. If it were my druthers, I'd have dumped it completely. Paying out cash to be allowed to watch commercials on 120 channels? I don't care to pay to watch commercials on any channels.

Still, my wife wanted the "local" news, so we kept the basic, basic. Too bad most of it is canned news from somewhere else peppered with infomercials. Thirty channels including eight different PBS channels. Quite enough. How many weather reports do you really need?

Like you, we have gone to Netflix for streaming and DVDs. The internet? Of course.
