Bomb #20......in the movie Dark Star, plus others

This one in the movie "WestWorld" Yul Brenner as an android gunslinger

There must be something from the "Matrix" trilogy world we can use....oh yes ...The Frenchman..er...Merovingian. An interesting character that posed as a program. Liked to curse in French because he felt it more elegant. Plus other invasive tendencies he exhibited in the 2nd movie of that franchise.
Then there is Agent Smith..... more interesting in the first movie than those that followed.

btw, have we taken the time to compare between The Matrix and Tron. I think The Matrix borrows some key elements in its 'matrix' environment from the earlier movie Tron.

Huey, Dewey & Lewie....Silent Running.

Tin Man, Wizard of Oz

Robby the Robot.....Forbidden Planet

From the movie Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxie: Marvin.

Marvin is very quotable.
Marvin: "It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level."

"I've calculated your chance of survival, but I don't think you'll like it."

"Sorry, did I say something wrong? Pardon me for breathing which I never do anyway so I don't know why I bother to say it oh God I'm so depressed."

etc.

From the original Robocop:

From the movie "Metropolis" 1927
the false Maria...

Probably this movie is worth a thread on its own. The most recent reconstruction of the film is out on Blu Ray and boasts recently discovered film footage found in Argentina....figures if we look at a little bit of 20th century world history.

Roy Batty from the movie Blade Runner (1982)

The other day I took some cheap shots at the actors performance in this movie. then I proceded to watch the 'last version' of the film on DVD. Now I think Rutger Hauer's performance was entirely adequate for the film. The final 20 minutes of the film were indeed quite terrifying.

I can probably dig up some more. The internet is rich in movie details. but these characters sort of worked for me.
