I like the Sony 3LCD model KDF-46E2000

Posted by CQ DX on September 19, 2007 at 16:40:04:

Thanks for the info guys! The 34" CRT based Sony sounds like a nice set, but if I am going to spend all this moolah, I think I want to go with a larger screen than that. Today, at 'Sears', I saw a Sony KDF-46E2000 '3LCD rear projection' LCD HDTV (with a 46" screen) that made my jaw drop! The picture was so detailed, and the colors so true to life! It essentially looked like the plasma TV's that were on display, and they were selling it for $899. They didn't have one in stock (it is a discontinued model, but has garnered great reviews on Amazon), so they said they would order one from 'the warehouse'. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they get it in. The only drawback is that this TV needs a lamp replacement every few years, typically. Of course, my concern is that the proper lamp won't be available a few years down the line, so I just may buy an extra lamp to keep in storage until I need it.
