Need Calibration DVD & SPL Meter Recommendations

Posted by learn2turn@yahoo.com on December 11, 2007 at 14:00:27:

I'm getting some speakers for Xmas and am buying a receiver to complete a 5.1 setup. Thinking about what other stuff I might want.

Can anyone recommend a calibration DVD that would play sample stuff to help set things up? Is there such a disk?

Would a reasonable prices SPL meter be worth it? RatShack as a digital one for $45 and I saw several others on Amazon. Is digital better than analog? Anyone have one they'd recommend in the $50 range?
