RE: just how good(or bad) is the audio quality (DAC) from tv?

Posted by tvnoob on December 16, 2008 at 14:13:16:

well i haven't hook it up yet. i'm waiting for hdmi cable and it's in mail.

but i'm almost certain it will do DAC as it has the numerous HDMI inputs and a pair of RCA(analog) outputs. so the DAC conversion will take place inside TV, not anywhere else. but as i said in the original post, i'd like to know if this DAC inside TV is at least passable, if not acceptable to audiophiles.

thanks
