8MM video tape ...

Anyone know of a USB 8MM videocassete player that plugs into a computer?

Can believe such a device doesn't exist.

There are 8mm Sony Video Walkman, but they are ricidulously expensive.

Of course, you can buy a backup 8mm camera, but that seems silly too.

I have hours and hours of 8MM videotape, and I just don't want to be bothered transferring it to DVD.

There are 8MM backup tape drives available. Doesn't seem like it would be hard to write a video driver for such a device.
