Recording

Posted by "Ron B" on September 8, 2009 at 13:54:39:

Is there a simple method of recording information stored on a satellite DVR unit with limited storage space, for viewing at a later time? I would like to try to do this on an iMAC apple computer. If there is any special software required, please advise as this could be easily obtained if commercially available. I understand that there might be a copyright consideration here, but I am working on the idea of fair use and do not see any concern that would be different from recording on a VCR. Right now I do not have a VCR that is functional and really do not want to invest in a terminal technology. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
