RE: Feeding signals, WinXPpro to projector/receiver?

Posted by ro9397 on February 29, 2012 at 22:40:03:

Thank you for your help!

Currently the only HDMI connection is between the Blu-Ray player (in rack with HT receiver) and the projector.

What is starting street price for recommended HDMI HT receiver with HDMI switching? Make/model? I suppose the above receiver solves the audio and video routing as follows:

Acquire computer with HDMI output (add HDMI video card to current computer or if necessary replace computer...it never occurred to me my XP Pro might be too slow to play HD video).
HDMI cable from computer to new HDMI receiver.
Blu-Ray player to HDMI receiver.
Switch sources at HDMI receiver.

I may prefer the above scenario to adding an HDMI cable between the computer and the projector.
