RE: Panasonic Blu Ray DMP-BD55 Firmware Update Problem

Posted by Visitor on April 27, 2012 at 14:55:27:

Thanks for all the help. I finally managed to make a firmware update CD and the player recognized it as such, but wouldn't load it. Panasonic made me a CD which took about 10 minutes to load and it completed the update from firmware version 1.5 to 2.4. The player is in a very heavy cabinet which is quite difficult to move so that was the easiest way to go.

When it dies, I'm going to get an Oppo 93 which has wifi and can look for updates on the net. Plus, I'll get to play surround sound SACDs on the video system.
