I've seen these things around, so look in retail outlets. As far as I know, the VCD's are MPEG audio-video and there is a considerable difference between this and DVD. So proceed at your own risk.
To me, it all comes down to whether it's official or not. The officially released VCD's I have...Pink Floyd "Live At Pompeii" and "Pulse", The Who, BeeGees, Bob Marley...are good quality but still MPEG audio-video. Good enough for your PC, but NOT for viewing, even on a DVD player.
The bootlegs I have..."Rush Hour", "Rush Hour2", "Operation Condor", Deep Purple's "New, Live, Rare"...are not worth what you have to pay for them.
It depends how bad you want it. As a pure collectible, it's a good investment, but as a viewing experience, it sucks, BIG TIME !
Just searh eBay for sellers and you can see for yourself...just be careful when you send them the money!
