I happened to notice that 'From Hell' received a vote rating of 7.0 (!) on www.imdb.com. Ya gotta wonder about that one. I do think imdb.com is a valuable resource for it's obsessively detailed archive of general information as well as the user comments sections which often yield some interesting discussions on films, (although I usually pay little attention to the vote rating). Thinking about it, I gotta say that one should give some credit where it's due to the supporting crew members of 'For Hell'. Looking at Chris Dale's work as the clapper loader: re-shoots, it's quite evident that he wringed the last bit of quality that could be retrieved, just as he did with the stellar management of his job as camera loader for 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin'. I also, upon reflection, would say that 'For Hell' would have suffered to an even greater degree had not Tom Teiger been there to pull things in as the property master. This hearkens back to his equally fine work (from 1988) as key property master in 'Yellow Pages'.:^D
