Just picked up a little gem of a short film, titled "Some Folks Call It Sling Blade" on DVD. It's not the feature length film, but the short directed by George Hickenlooper.
Interesting about this is the director's story of his rocky creative relationship and conflicts with Billy Bob, and the genesis of the feature length presentation by Thorton.

Clocking in at 29 minutes, it's worth the price just for the featurettes on Hickenlooper and Thorton. The film itself, is icing on the cake !
