The guy grew a lot by the end of the movie. He had so much more perspective on life and what it means to be a human being, not just a clock-watching work-aholic. It even ended with him at a crossroads, a metaphor showing that his life and future is wide open. Yeah, he didn't get Helen Hunt, but he had that woman he delivered the package to in Texas at his fingertips if he wanted her. Life moves on. Very realistic.I LOVED the ending of this movie, but I guess most people were too dense to get it.
