"My Big Fat Greek Wedding". I haven't seen it, but I wonder if it will ever be No. 1 at the U.S. box office. It has been No. 2 for a few weeks now, after 5 months in release. I'm rooting for it.
What a hoot watching this "little movie" win out over new releases like "Stealing Harvard". A real triumph for word-of-mouth, and a great argument that some movies should stay in theaters for more than two weeks.
I live forty miles from New York City, but I still have to wait for most decent little movies and foreign films to come out on video before I can see them. If they play anywhere near me at all, it's only for one week.
Long live "Greek Wedding"!
