I saw Lake Boat last week and loved it. A "...more geriatric episode of Seinfeld" is one way of putting it:-) The seriousness of the film for me, was in my ability to relate to the characters...something in the blue collar dreams and legends that rang home. I've never worked on a ship, but I spent over two decades in the trenches of machine shops, and there were amazing similiarities in the old-timers' attitudes and stories; wondering where the last 40 years went; finding exagerrated meaning in the small things; the mythical status of what was his name?)...I give it a thumbs up too.I keep passing on "Legend" but maybe it's time to check it out.
