Re: Is anybody willing to explain Blue Velvet to me?

I saw Blue Velvet in '86 when it came out. I had not seen a Lynch film before and was totally blown away. The theatre had 10 people at the beginning. At the end, there was me and two others. It was really trippy and violent for the time. TIME magazine went on about it.

I became an instant Lynch fan and, as a result of seeing most everything, I find BV is the most understandable, chronological, plot-oriented of his movies. You wanted weirdness, try ERASERHEAD. I get nauseous with morbid fascination when I see it.
