Just Isabelle Huppert and Daniel Auteuil playing the main roles should be reason enough. OK, the director Christian Vincent is unknown to the local public, but don't let that little fact scare you. Some might say it is your usual French kaka, and... they may have a point. But kaka is mostly in the plot, and personally I never care much for the plot anyway. The art - or lack thereof - is always elsewhere, and here we do have some. Not too much, but enough to make it worth 90 minutes of your time.
Some might say the characters wonder around seemingly aimlessly, and there is no deep psychology in the apparently simple film. I say - they behave like normal people... more or less. So if normal people is not your shtick, look elsewhere. But if you like the movies about people and what bothers them, then this might be worth your... yes, I already said it... 90 minutes.
Did I say the performances are top notch and the direction is actually quite good?
Sorry...
