I saw this just this afternoon. Much improved, not that the theater version was poor IMHO.30 extra minutes, mostly a second here, two seconds there, but a great deal more development of Hobbiton, of Boromir, and Galadriel.
Also elves passing to the west, Galadriel's gifts, and Gimli falling in love with G.
Took a bit out, like the tossing dwarf comment.
Were it me, I would have excised the wizards 'fighting' in the released version, and stuck in all the bits they added here. Who gives a rip if it becomes longer? Like non-fans will flock to if it's only 165 minutes instead of 195 minutes?
