Gritty noir lighting and shades, gritty dialog, wall paper peeling expletives, and up-close-and-personal violence. This movie has encapsulated the seamy side of life with stark color, flashbacks, and judicious split screens. It does this with the fashionable lack of real heroes and a slowly unfolding plot.Yep, Liotta and Patric are nearly flawless. Liotta with his classic "almost-outta-control" persona and Patric with casual understatement.
I noted two "older" citizens leaving before half time, so this movie is not your Saturday afternoon family fest.
