No, I couldn't go this year. Usually the shows are a lot of hard work, some good meetings and mixed bag of food.About the home theater shows... don't you agree it would be nice to have someone play good films, and not demos? Kinda like some people playing good music at the CES - some do. I recall several years ago, when I attended the CES as just a visitor, I would often come back to the same room where folks would play old records on simple equipment - that was the room to relax and enjoy.
I think Patrick got sucked into the Travail... as there have been no signals from him for some time. And I wouldn't blame him.
