I had settled comfortably into the groove of this industry-insider tale. But, right at the end, we are in a swamp with gunplay and charging alligators! I was thrown out of the groove faster than a Bullet Train derailment. It completely pissed the whole film away and converted it into a true industry-insider movie. The adulation this film may garner will come from that longstanding Hollywood self-indulgence of loving stories about itself.
