Confessions of a dangerously small audience . . .

208.148.210.18

Movie good. Small audience bad. Unfortunately, small audiences seem to miss the fact a film is a dark-comedy and tend to take it as drama. (Particularly since 90% of audiences know nothing of a film before seeing it.) That is apparently what happened when I saw "Dangerous". Since I was the only one laughing, I soon stifled as a result of peer pressure--my own weakness, I suppose. No one else even giggled--and two "matrons" left within the first 10 minutes since the word "phuque" was used about 20 times!

This was a terrific film. The script, cinematography, art direction, and editing was spot on. Sam Rockwell is standout as a struggling and confused Barris. The story is a Hunter-esque tale of blurred fact and fiction beautifully melded together. It is a must see--and please remember to laugh.
