'Chicago' isn't a musical in the traditional sense, i.e., the characters don't suddenly burst into song (a la Sound of Music or My Fair Lady) but rather the musical numbers are fantasy pieces cleverly interwoven with the 'real' action. It's all very, very well done and it makes for a terrific movie. Well deserving of the accolades it's been receiving.Russell
