The new Almodovar film has been playing here for two months and I just caught it yesterday -- With a couple dozen in the audience too, at the 4:00 show.If ever there were a movie that *must* be seen in the theatre, this be it. As the curtain lifts on the widescreen (2.35:1) action... well, one knows from the outset one is in the hands of a master.
You all probably know the set-up. Two unconscious women in the hospital, two boyfriends attending them, a situation develops...
But you do not know where it's heading, any more than the characters do. You may have suspicions... but you'll probably be wrong.
The audience ends up feeling just like the Argentinian -- deeply, truly... You even want to talk to him...
Included too is a song performance of heartrending pathos.
See it now, if you possibly can. Not meant for video.
