Has anyone here seen Swimming Pool? Can someone explain to me the twist in the ending? I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't seen it, but if someone wishes to posit a theory with the ususal disclaimers of course, then I'd love to hear it.
The movie is very well-acted by both Charlotte Rampling and (oh my word) Ludivine Sagnier. She alone is worth the price of admission, or the cost of the DVD when it comes out. I loved the pace of the movie, the various symbolisms throughout, and the way Ozon covers and uncovers the plot. There are clues all through the movie and I plan on seeing it again to decipher it. This movie left me in a similar state of confusion as Mulholland Drive did.
I'd be curious to hear others thoughts.
