Rush was enjoyably over the top, Bloom was doing an obvious (and bad) Errol Flynn impersonation and Depp was an exact duplicate of Dudley Moore in Aurthur. Why did he play him as a slurring drunk wearing eye shadow? Much of the dialogue felt as though it was written the morning the scene was shot. Stilted, obvious and non too clever.

Why did Depp not turn into a skeleton when the moon shone on him earlier in the movie when he was in the jail cell? Stupid inconsistencies like this are just inexcusable in $100,000,000.00 movies.

Far too long, far too stupid, but I enjoyed the Air Conditioning on a hot summer day.

My wife and I were also appalled at the "Haunted Mansion" preview with Eddie Murphy. Shameless. The biggest laughs of the evening came over dinner after the movie when we were goofing on the pre-existing Disney rides that will get the movie treatment next. Personally, I can't stop laughing at the idea of a "Monsanto's ride through 'Inner Space', the movie". "Carousel of Progress, the movie."
