They had Spartacus as well in 70mm (which I did not see). Of course, the soundtracks were analogue and in bad shape, the analogue sound system needed a tweak, the sound was TOO LOUD and the 70mm projectors could use a maintenance. And it was the flat 70mm, not the "cinerama" 70mm and the prints weren't perfect, yada, yada.Nevertheless, it was quite something to see. Nothin' like it.
I'm actually surprised that a theatre that size (a Walter Reade) had a brace of 70mm projectors still functioning. A Sunday afternoon very well spent, all in all. Theatre was full, BTW.
