I'm 35 and can remember a movie, which played often near the holidays in the 70's. It is a Black and White; about an innocent poor older man/hobo (Whom might be either deaf or cant talk) I think he lives near an amusement park, or near a boat harbor. I believe most people fear him, but somewhere in the movie he comes in contact with a little girl who sees his innocent nature. They start a friend ship, which from what I can remember causes people to think this guy might be up to no good. I think it has a dramatic ending where he is forced into the harbor and drowns. Anyone remember any movie like this? Thanks for any help.
Regards, Tom
