Saw it on The Movie Network recently. "An ambitious TV news reporter rides the music wave in Manchester and changes the industry forever." said the precis so I gave it a look and loved it. Turns out it's a very smart look at the genesis of Factory Records by Tony Wilson, played by British comedian Steve Coogan. Sean Harris as Ian Curtis of Joy Division was great. Fans of Coronation Street will recognize the guy who plays Spider Nugent as Howard Devoto in a hilarious bathroom scene. The real Devoto also has a cameo in the same scene. Great music and a highly recommended film as is "Velvet Goldmine". I only wish Eddie Izzard was in this one, too.
