Hi,
the movie almost lost me, I came close to falling asleep a few times. It's slow paced, have a cup of coffee just before you go in.
I liked it, hard to believe, but it's a movie for middle aged guys. I mean, there are tons of kid flick, thousands of teen flicks, hundreds of chick flicks....every year. How many for middle aged guys?
It's a movie about loss, suffering, emptiness, about the world changing around you in ways you can't change and don't like. It's about a love you can hold, one you can nurture; but not one you can make your own.
I am a little surpised film critics are quite so gaga over it. But it is good, and if you're a middle aged guy you just might suprise yourself by liking this slow paced, bittersweet movie.
