...there are other critics far worse, and if we include some of the reviews/opinions of films generated on this site, I'd prefer going with a cross section of critical opinion from a film specialty sites such as "Rotten Tomatoes" before selection or eliminating of a movie on my viewing schedule.BTW, in my estimation many foreign films tend to be "sleepers" ...and I don't mean that in a good way! This isn't meant to suggest that your opinions are always incorrect, but one might infer from your hostility toward Hollyood that your opinions are informed by personal biases rather than observations of a given artists' current work. The bottom line is that, generally speaking, film critics serve a very important role, even those critics who may not assess films based on criteria geared to your particular tastes.
