I see that you agree with most all the Nay points I made.:))I did enjoy it as well. All the great footage was there. If only they let me edit it!
Re:the doctor. Apparently the screenwriters mixed'n'matched several O'Brien's books[title is a combination of the 1st and last volumes] as well as the events that unfold in them and made a movie out of it.
Haven't read the books, but Rafael Sabatini was one of my favorites when I was a teenager, and something tells me O'Brien was a better writer. I might just pick up the 1st volume in the series.
