Sorry, clark, Jonh lost last night to Separate Tables in AMC, with a wonderful performance by David Niven - he won the Oscar for it. While of course somewhat predictable, the film still offers enough in the way of interesting characters and good acting to justify its well deserved victory over Mr. Ripley.Just one thing making me lament missing the Ripley - how was Ray Winstone there? I loved him in the Sexy Beast, and saw him in Ripley before the Tables started.
