But how much Woody Allen have you seen? While not trying to be flippant, I can't imagine you not liking at least ONE of the following:
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Mighty Aphrodite
Manhattan
Manhattan Murder Mystery
Purple Rose of Cairo
Hannah and Her Sisters
Annie Hall
Sweet and Lowdown
ZeligEtc, Etc.
I mean, you seem to be a discerning moviegoer, so maybe I'm just twisted, But Woody Allen has been so prolific and diverse, and the overall quality of his movies so high, to limit his acheivments to just his "early comedies" does him an injustice, IMO. Although I will admit, one of my favorites - "Love and Death" - does fit in that genre.
