I was honestly planning on seeing that film... sometime... when the crowds would be gone.But then one cable channel ran a "special" on how it was made, and it sealed its fate.
They showed a bunch on immature overgrown teeagers toying with video games. They showed the same moron director doing the same talk, and I immediately recalled his previous masterpiece - ironically I happened to catch the similar program on the Gladiator.
There was nothing about substance, nothing of any level of profundity besides "And then the explosions are added digitally and it looks like real cool..."
So you want my $2 to go pay for their game? Sorry, guys.
Anyway, my love affair was from the distance, and it was short, and healing it was as easy as sipping Coke through a straw.
Bie bie, Hawk, see you are the Oscars, I presume.
